Ridgewood LAC hold a variety of special events over the course of the season.
Check out the list below to see how it affects the weekly competition. All athletes will be given the opportunity to participate in these events unless otherwise stated. Twilight Competition 1 & Christmas Party
Date: Friday 16th December 2022
1500m Events commence at 5pm, Main Comp from 5.30pm
The final competition for 2021 is our first Twilight Competition for the season. With special guests and plenty of action, this competition is sure to wrap up the first half of the season with a bang!

MID-SEASON BREAK
Twilight Competition - Fusion Cup 2023
Date: Friday 27th January 2023
Marshaling commences at 4.45pm Fusion Cup is BACK for 2023. This Special Event is a Club/Team Based Competition where athletes compete for their club to earn points across a variety of events. With 3 Divisions, New Rules, Regulations and POWERPLAYS all to come this season, the 2023 Fusion Cup is going to be hottest contested competition of the season. Can the Yanchep Dolphins reign supreme and retain the cup for another year? Will the Quinns Rocks Sharks or Butler Boomers reclaim the cup or will Mindarie, or Clarkson take the cup and make it four different champions across four different seasons? |

2022 RLAC Opening Day
Date: 8th October 2022
The 2022/23 Season is here!
Join us for our first competition of the season and start earning those Personal Bests (PB's). A selection of guests will be invited to attend to the opening of the new Little Athletics season and speak a word of encouragement, motivation and to thank our winter coaches and athletes who have represented Ridgewood throughout the winter at local and national competitions. There will be a march of athletes in their respective clubs prior to the speeches.
Athletes are to be at the oval at 7.30 am to ensure a timely start of the day.
NOTE: Our State Relay selection process will commence from the opening day onwards

Centre PB Days (Perpetual Trophy)
Date: 12th November & 26th November 2022
Program 1 and Program 2 will be used for these PB Event Days. Clubs compete for the Centre’s PB Day trophy.

2022 Smith-Bossert Challenge
Date: 19th November 2022
Times: Twilight Competition (2pm Start) Ridgewood LAC Vs Joondalup LAC It's one of the biggest rivalries in the Northern Suburbs 2022 Venue - HBF Arena, Joondalup ALL athletes are encouraged to come and compete against our closest neighbours to assist us retain the shield for another season. With all athletes participating in a variety of events including 100m, middle distance, throws and Long Jump (U6-U12) or NEW for 2022 - High Jump (U13-U17) it's bound to be a great day for the whole family! Please remember to wear age tags and registration numbers. Athletes are encouraged to wear Ridgewood Uniform but this is not compulsory, club uniform will be acceptable.
Parents may be required to fulfil a roster as per the allocated roster to clubs. |
2022 Smith Bossert Challenge Program of Events
McGrath Foundation Pinkletics
Date: 26th November 2022
This day all athletes can dress up in PINK to raise money for breast cancer with the McGrath Foundation. Ridgewood LAC would like to see all athletes participate. We encourage all clubs to add to this cause by holding their own fundraising activity on the day itself. We would like to see any may athletes, coaches and parents their brightest, prettiest, funniest pink costumes. Please note that rego numbers and age tags must still be worn for this event. |
Centre Combined Event Championships
Dates: 10th December 2022
The 2022/23 Centre Combined Event Championships will be held in December.
Athletes will compete in 5 events across the morning and earn points for their achievements. At the end of competition, points are calculated and the top 3 athletes for each age group/gender will be awarded medals.
Athletes must compete in all events offered for their age group/gender to be eligible for medals.
Clubs will also be competing for the Centre Multi Event Perpetual Shield.
The 2022/23 Centre Combined Event Championships will be held in December.
